On Friday, October 18th 2024 FERVER board members visited TOBB, the Office of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye in Brussels.
TOBB is the umbrella organization of the Turkish industry and trade.

Our national member Mustafa URGEN (EGECEV, Turkiye), Olivier DEWEERDT (Secretary General) and Ulrich IX (President) represented FERVER in this meeting with Haluk NURAY the Representative of TOBB in Brussels.
Together we evaluated the potential for mutual cooperation with our Federation, which conducts lobbying activities in European Commissions.

We discussed the

CBAM (Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism)
PPWR (Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation) and
WSR (Waste Shipment Regulation) legislations,

which are closely related to the Türkiye’s agenda. As FERVER, we are pleased to be in cooperation with TOBB for the European Commission relations. FERVER will support the endeavours to increase and improve glass collection and recycling in Türkiye and international.
